Tomato Pockets


  • Broken wheat ½ of ¼ kg (soak and drain)
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 2 full medium size
  • Spring onions chopped ½ Kg
  • Radish +Carrot ½ Kg
  • Salt & chaat masala to taste
  • Black peppercorns
  • Crushed ½ tsp
  • Oil 1/2tsp
  • Coriander 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander or mint leaves


  1. Cut the top off the tomatoes and scoop out the flesh, Reserve it.
  2. Mix together broken wheat, spring onions, radish, carrot, lemon juice, salt, peppercorns, parsley/coriander, reserved tomato flesh chat masala in a Bowl.
  3. Stuff the tomatoes with this filling and cook them in the non stick pan and cover them.
  4. Once the tomatoes softens (5-7 mins).
  5. Serve with coriander or mint leaves.
