Ingredients
- Brown Rice – ½ of ¼ K (soak overnight & cook the next day)
- Moong dal – ½ of ¼ K
- Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Clove – 2
- Ghee – 1tsp
- Raisins – 5
- Date[khajoor] – 1
- Flaxseed powder – 1tsp
- Almonds – 4 (roughly chopped)
Method
- Roast moong dal in a heavy bottom pan till it turns fragrant. Add water and cook well till soft then add cooked brown rice.
- When it is completely cooked, add date and mash mixture, add green cardamom powder.
- Mix and cook on a medium flame.
- Make a separate tempering, heat a pan with ghee, add clove and switch off the stove then add raisins, almonds, and flax seed powder.
- Stir in this to the rice mix and serve.
