Ingredients
- Chickpeas/Chole(raw) – ¼ K
- Spinach/palak (chopped)-1K
- Onion(diced) ½
- Tomato puree – ½ k
- Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
- Coriander seed powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric/Haldi – ¼ tsp
- Gingerpaste-1/4 tsp
- Green chilli paste – 1/4 tsp
- Spring onion greens – 1 tbsp
- Oil-½ tsp
- Lemon juice -few drops
- Salt – as per taste
Method
- Soak chickpeas in water for 3-4 hours and Pressure cook them till 3-4 whistles.
- Heat oil, add cumin seeds, green chilli paste and onions.
- Saute till onion is lightly browned, add tomato puree & sauté well.
- Add ginger paste, spinach leaves, salt, haldi, coriander powder and mix well.
- Saute for 3-4 min. Add cooked chole, ¼L water, lemon juice, spring onions.
- Mix well and cook for about 2 min.
- Serve hot.
