Soya Manchurian

Ingredients

  • 1/3 k Soya Chunks (40g)
  • 1/3 k babycorn slits (pressure cooked)
  • 1 Green  Chilli Slits
  • ½ k Each Diced (Broccoli, Onion, bellpeppers-3coloured)
  • 1 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 1½ -2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp Spring Onion Greens Chopped
  • Salt – as per taste

Method

  1. Soak Soya chunks in warm water for 15 mins.
  2. Squeeze the chunks and drain the water.
  3. Dry roast the soya chunks (optional).
  4. Just toss the chunks in between to ensure even cooking.
  5. For the sauce-heat 1/2 tsp oil, add chopped ginger and garlic.
  6. Add onions and saute for a minute then, add in capsicum, brocoli, green chilli and baby corn slits.
  7. Saute for a minute.
  8. Now add all the sauces, pepper powder & salt.
  9. Add water and bring it to boil.
  10. Add soya chunks and mix well.
  11. Add 1 tsp cornflour mixed in 1 tbsp of water.
  12. Cook till the gravy thickens slightly.
  13. Add in spring onion and mix well.
  14. Serve hot.
