Soya Chana Masala


  • 1/2  Cup cooked (white Chickpeas) kabuli Chana
  • 1/4 Cup soya chunks (Nuggets)
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2  tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Corriander cumin seeds powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 Cup finely choppped (Onion, Tomatoes, Capsicum and french Beans)


  1. Soak the soya Nuggets in warm water for 10 min, drain well.
  2. Combine the kabuli Chana, Soya nuggets, Turmeric powder with water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  3. Heat the Oil in a kadhai add Cumin seeds, when the seeds crackle add ginger garlic paste, Onion, Tomatoes and salt for 1-2 min.
  4. Add Chilli powder, Coriander-cumin seeds powder, garam masala and mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked kabuli Chana and Soya mixture and cook for another 2 min stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot with garnished Corriander.
