Sarson Da Saag

Ingredients

  • Fresh Mustard leaves /Sarson (chopped) – 1Kg
  • Spinach- ½ Kg, besan-1 tsp
  • Bathua(Optional) – ½ kg
  • Boiled Corn-¼ kg
  • Ginger paste- 1tsp
  • Onion (finely chopped) – ½
  • Tomato(finely chopped) -1
  • Green chilli chopped -1/2 tsp
  • Oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. Heat 1L water in a pot.
  2. When the water comes to a boil, add the chopped greens, green chillies, cover and cook till the greens become soft.
  3. Remove from heat and churn all the greens.
  4. Add besan & mix well.
  5. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add ginger, onions, tomatoes, corn & saute.
  6. Transfer the saag from the earthen pot to the pan.
  7. Cook for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Add salt and mix well.
  9. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish and serve hot.
