Ingredients
- Tur dal + Chana dal (raw) – 1 Tbsp
- Red pumpkin (bhopla) – 1 K (Cubed)
- Cinnamon 1- inch stick
- Cloves – 1
- Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
- Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves chopped – 1 tbsp
- Water as required
Method
- Pressure cook both the dals with1- 1.5L of water, salt, & turmeric powder and cook for 2 to 3 whistles or till completely cooked.
- Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cloves, cinnamon, red pumpkin, salt & tamarind pulp, cover and cook till done.
- Add red chilli powder, cooked dals & adjust seasoning.
- Let it boil for few seconds.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
