Puliyogare / Tamarind Rice

Ingredients

  • Brown Rice (raw)(soak it overnight and then pressure cook till just done) – ¼ k
  • Chopped and boiled vegs (Cauliflower, baby corn, French beans) – 1 to 1½k
  • 1 dry red chilli, asafoetida – a pinch
  • Puliyogare /tamarind rice masala – 1 tbsp
  • MTR Brand Oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

Method

  1. Heat oil, add asafoetida, dry chili, curry leaves, Puliyogare masala and boiled vegs.
  2. Sauté for 2 to 3 mins.
  3. Then add cooked rice and salt.
  4. Mix gently and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot.
