Ingredients
- Jowar + bajra + Moong dal (raw – soaked overnight) – 1/4 k
- Brown rice (raw – soaked overnight) – 2 tsp and 3-4 peppercorns
- Cumin seeds -½ tsp
- Green chilli slit – 1
- Grated ginger-1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves 4-5
- Diced dudhi + cauliflower + capsicum – 1 k
- Asafoetida
- Turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1/2 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves
Method
- Pressure cook all the veggies along with millets, dal and rice with 2 times water for 4 to 5 whistles or till it is mashed.
- For tempering heat oil, add cumin seeds, peppercorns, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves and asafoetida.
- Add the cooked pongal to the seasoning and mix.
- Garnish with coriander.
- Serve hot.
