Masoor Khichdi

Ingredients

  • Mix dal + whole massor – ¼ cup total
  • Raw rice – 1 tsp
  • Jeera
  • Ginger chilli paste
  • Curry leaves
  • Water – 3/4 cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • Spinach (optional)
  • Chopped capsicum, French beans, dudhi, cauliflower, tomato – 1 cup
  • Coriander for garnishing

Method

  1. In a pressure cooker add ½ tsp of ghee add jeera, ginger chilli paste, curry leaves and all the chopped vegetables.
  2. Then add the washed rice mix dal and pressure cook it using ¾ cup of water for 3 whistles.
  3. Turn off the fire and add coriander.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Serve hot.
