Ingredients
- Bajra or barley – 1 tbsp
- Rice- ½tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Few methi seed
- Ginger & Green chillies chopped – as per taste
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp Curry leaves – 4 – 5
- Spring onions ½ k
- Red, green, yellow capsicum ½ k
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
Method
Soak bajra in lukewarm water overnight. Soak Urad dal , rice & methi seeds for 2 hours. Drain and grind each finely and mix all of them in a big bowl. Cover and keep in a warm place to ferment overnight. Heat ½ tsp oil in a small non – stick pan, add mustard seeds, ginger and green chillies and sauté for 1 minute. Add curry leaves and mix and add this tempering to the batter and add salt. Make medium idlis out of it and then chop it into medium cubes. Then sauté the chopped veggiesin ½ tsp oil and add malgapudi chutney or schezwan sauce to it as per your taste.
