Ingredients
- Matki/moth beans + chawli +white vatana – 1/3k
- Onion – 1/2k
- Tomatoes chopped – 1 k
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – few drops
- Misal masala /powder – ½ tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
- Oil – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
- Soak vatana, chawli and matki overnight and pressure cook.
- Other option – you can sprout the matki and then cook.
- Make onion and tomato puree.
- Heat oil, add the onion and tomato puree, saute properly for 5 mins, add ginger garlic paste, sauté for few minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, misal powder and salt .
- Add 1-1½L water and the cooked pulses.
- Boil for few mins.
- Squeeze lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves, finely chopped onions and tomatoes.
- Serve hot.
