Ingredients
For Tikki:
- Spinach (blanched and chopped) – 1/2k
- Besan – ½ of ¼ k
- Poha (raw) – ¼ k
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
- Cabbage + French beans (chopped) – ½ k
- Salt to taste
For Chole
- Chickpeas (chole-raw, Soak and then Boil) – ½ of ¼ K
- Onion – ½
- Tomato (medium size, chopped) – 1
- Green chillies – 1
- Coriander powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber + tomato + ¼ pc onion- ½ k Total
- Oil – ½ tsp
- Water – 1L
- Salt – to taste
Method
- Preheat oven.
- Mix together spinach, red chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, veges, besan, poha, salt.
- Mix well, shape them into a tikki.
- Bake them till golden brown on both sides.
- For chole, grind together onion, green chillies, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add the ground paste and saute for five to eight minutes till the paste turns dark brown.
- Add tomato and salt.
- Stir well and cook till well blended.
- Add chole.
- Stir well and cook for about five minutes.
- Add one cup of water.
- Stir well and boil for two minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- To serve, arrange the tikkis in a plate.
- Top with chole, sprinkle onion, cucumber, tomato and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
