Gavar Bhopla Veg

Ingredients

  • Cluster beans – 1kg
  • Red pumpkin – 1/3kg
  • Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Carom seeds – a pinch
  •  Hing – A pinch
  • Chili powder – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander-cumin seed powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Clive oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped coriander – 10 g

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, carom seeds (ajwain) and asafoetida.
  2. Add cluster beans (gavar), pumpkin, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt & saute.
  3. Add some water and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the coriander-cumin seed powder, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or  till the gavar is cooked.
  5. Mash the pumpkin with back of the spoon to form little thick gravy, garnished with coriander.
  6. Serve hot.
