Cabbage Jowar Muthia

INGREDIENTS

For the muthias:
Jowar flour – 1 tbsp
Grated cabbage – 1 tbsp
Low-fat curds – 1 tsp
Chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1/2 tbsp
Ginger-green chilli paste – ½ tsp
Garlic cloves – 2no.
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander to garnish – 1 tbsp chopped
For the tempering:
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Curry leaves – 3 to 4 no.
Oil – ½ tsp

DIRECTIONS

Step 1 For the muthias:

Step 2 Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead to make a soft dough using enough water and make rolls 

Step 3 Place the rolls on a steaming dish and steam for 5-7 minutes till firm.

Step Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds. When they crackle, add the asafoetida and curry leaves

Step 5 Add the muthias and saute over a low flame till they are lightly browned.

Step 6 Serve hot, garnished with the coriander.
