Barley Pulao

Ingredients

  • Barley (raw) – ¼ k
  • French beans + tomato+ cabbage –  ½ k
  • Onion (Diced) –  ¼ k
  • Red and yellow bell peppers – ¼ k
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Curry powder – ¼ tsp – ½ tsp
  • Water – 1L, Oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste

Method

  1. Heat oil add the onion & vegs, sauté for 2 minutes then add barley sauté 5 mins.
  2. Add turmeric, curry powder, salt, and pepper powder.
  3. Pour in the water & bring to a boil.
  4. Cover and cook till the barley is tender.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot.
