Ingredients
- Cluster beans – 1k
- Red pumpkin – 1/3k
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Carom seeds – a pinch
- Hing – A pinch
- Chili powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander-cumin seed powder – 1/4 tsp
- Clive oil – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Chopped coriander – 10 g
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, carom seeds (ajwain) and asafoetida.
- Add cluster beans (gavar), pumpkin, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt & saute.
- Add some water and bring to a boil.
- Add the coriander-cumin seed powder, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or till the gavar is cooked.
- Mash the pumpkin with back of the spoon to form little thick gravy, garnished with coriander.
- Serve hot.
