Ingredients
- ¼ cup chana dal or moong dal
- 1 cup chopped spinach leaves
- ½ cup chopped tomato
- 1 green chili sliced
- 2 tsp garlic n ginger (grated)
- Red chilli pd
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp coriander & cumin powder
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- Hing
- Cumin seeds
Method
- Soak the chana dal for 2-4 hour. Pressure-cook with 1 cup of water & a pinch of salt & turmeric pd for 2-3 whistle.
- Heat oil in a pan, splutter the cumin seeds.
- Then add garlic, green chilies & hing & sauté for a minute.
- Add tomato & ginger along with the rest of the spices & sauté for a minute.
- Finally add the spinach leaves, boiled dal & salt to taste.
- Cook till done.
- Squeeze lemon juice before serving.
