Sprouts Dhokla

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup sprouted Mooong (whole green gram)
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped Palak (Spinach)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp fruit salt
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  • 2-3 green Chillies
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • Oil for greasing

METHOD

  1. Combine the sprouted Moong, Palak, green Chillies in a blender and add little water to make a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer the paste in to bowl, add Besan, Salt along with water and mix well.
  3. Add the fruit salt.
  4. Pour the batter in to a greased thali.
  5. Steam in a steamer till the Dhoklas are cooked.
  6. Heat the Oil in a small pan add the sesame seeds, Asafoetida, Curry leaves and green Chillies and saute on a medium flame.
  7. Pour this tempering over the Dhoklas, cool slightly and cut in to equal diamond shaped pieces.
  8. Serve with green chutne.
